It has been such a long time since ive been on here! Ive been riding, just havent had the time to write about it. Things are going so well though with all the horses. Ive been long lining Leo and he is really improving. We do short little like 10 minute sessions of trotting in a circle and then have advanced to walking around the barn yard and weaving through trees. This horse, gah, I just fall more and more in love with him. When hes working through himself he looks so nice. Muscular with substance yet agile and graceful. Such a lovely lovely horse if I do say so myself :). I have a few photos of Mr. Handsome at the bottom.
Stormy has really been impressing me lately. More in tune to my seat shifting and leg aids. Bending, stepping out, using his back, and jumping beautifully. He has been jumping everything nicely without looking at it. Im most impressed with his step though, I can see his little hooves fling out in front of his shoulders and I finally feel him moving in FRONT of me.
Sophie has just been perfecting the learned things lately. I havent been doing anything new because I havent been on her consistently enough. Shes still improving though with her tempo, contact, and her back is engaged. Weve been doing a little more hill work and trotting up and down the hill is quite nice. I remember when I couldnt walk her down a hill without risking our lives!
Short and sweet :)
I was transferred from my one office to a new one and its much busier here so I havent had nearly the time to blog, today not being an exception.
Ill update more next time we have good enough weather to ride!
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!
Now some photos, the good stuff!
